PrerequisitesThe Commander’s Compendium is a consumable item that will instantly raise your active companion’s influence to level 50, the current maximum as of 5.8, and becomes available to a character that meets their personal goal in the weekly Planetary Conquest event.
Having a squad is a good thing. Squadmates can donate troops to your Squad Center and you can use these troops to attack others or defend.
You will see a Donate button in your squad chat when someone needs troops. If they ask specifically for a certain troop, try and give it to them.
They probably have need of that troop and it would not help to give them something they cannot use. Most of the time any troop is ok. You can also use your Squad Center to Request troops from others. It lets you leave a comment as to what you may like to have donated. If you are attacking, ask for some attack troops that will help your attack. If you are about to log out of the game and would like protection, request good defensive troops like speeder bikes, skiffs and troopers.
These are the best and fastest defense troops. Speeders will target infantry and ground troops, skiffs target heavy mech troops. Note that if you donate troops of your lower level to another who person who has troops of a higher level, your troops get upgraded to them. Coincidentally, if a person who has upgraded and higher level troops donates to a lower level person, the lower person will have the higher level upgraded troops. This is a real benefit in offense and defense. There is no reason not to donate troops when asked.
Our squad is built on this premise and has served us well. Squad Wars are initiated by the Leader or Officers of the Squad you are in. They can select 15 players with HQ over 3. These 15 players will represent your squad and battle another squad that has been chosen based on similar stats so the war is mostly fair. You will be matched up and have 3 attacks. You must use your 3 attacks wisely and try to get the best matchup to knock out the opponents uplinks. Each opponent has 3 uplinks in their base.
50% base destruction gets 1 uplink, destroying the HQ gets 2 uplinks and 100% destruction gets all 3 uplinks. There are also 3 planet outposts that are generally at the top of the War Room screen that you can attack if you have unlocked that planet in your Planetary Command building. Destroying each uplink on each planet here requires at least 50% destruction and the reward is usually something that will help your entire war effort for all your Squadmates in attacking the other players of opposing squad. Could be a reward of better defenses, 20% power increase in attacks for your troops or 20% defense against attacks. These are the uplinks you want to destroy first for the bonus. There are 6 planets: Tatooine(starting planet), Hoth, Er’Kit, Dandoran, Yavin 4, & Takodana.
The war takes place on a planet called Sullust and it just copies your current base design and transports it there for you. This way you can join the war and still play as normal.
Once you are chosen as 1 of the 15 squadmates to go to a Squad War, you will have 24-48 hours to prepare for the war. Make sure your base is best defended as possible with proper placement of squad center and HQ(close to each other).

Above all else, MAKE SURE YOU REQUEST TROOPS for your squad war base defense. Basically, you will ask your squad to donate troops for defense on Sullust for war. If you donate troops to a squad mate who is in a squad war, please make sure they are skiffs or speeder bikes only. Any other troop will not defend as well and you will most likely lose your uplinks for the squad. Our squad implements the 'mirror' strategy with 'Shock & Awe'. When you are scouting opponents (you have 24 hours to see what level buildings your opponent has), figure out where you are on the Squad Tree. The tree is built of levels.
Top level is 2 players, next level 3, next level 2 players, next is 3. The highest level members are on the top and goes in order from top to bottom. If you study where you are in the tree level, you will go to the enemy squad and battle your mirror on the tree first. You may be asked by the officer in charge to take an outpost first, before you start your attacks on your mirror opponent. At the opening of the squad war, outpost bonus starts at Level 5.
It is fairly easy to get 1 star on an outpost at this level and our lower members on the tree are asked to take these from the start. As the outpost is taken and re-taken, it will move up a level getting harder and harder to win back. With so many members meeting at the SW start time, we are able to take the outposts and attack our enemy mirrors and within minutes have nearly all of the opponents beaten. Keep attacking your mirror until you have 3 stars on them. If we have attacks left after getting the 3 stars on our mirror, we move up the tree and attack a higher opponent.
It is important to make notes of what troops are in the Squad Center of your opponent and where major traps are located. This is helpful for those who have attacks left and need to clean up the remaining enemies. Always remember to check your base before the start of every squad war. You may have added new buildings that need to be placed. Squad war base on Sullust does not reflect changes you make on your regular base. Reputation is accumulated when you donate troops daily or when you win a squad war as a reward.
Use this reputation in the Squad Perks area to upgrade or unlock certain “perks”. These perks can be a bonus you can use to have discounted troops and other items for your base for a certain amount of time. It will also help upgrade your squad level to a higher level and get further rewards.
Our squad uses rep as a measure of activity and loyalty. If you do not donate rep, you do not get chosen for Squad Wars. Rep has no other function than to help your squad and you cannot hoard it. There is only a maximum level you can hold until it is wasted.Armory Armory can be built once your are a Level 6 HQ. This is probably the most single important building you can get and a reason to race as fast as you can to obtain level 6. You will not obtain perks or troop data frags in your crates until you have this building.
Your game changes once you have this building and are able to put the perks activated to use your obtained bonus frags. These include defense perks and most importantly, your heavy troopers bonus perk.Crates.
Crates are rewards you can get that will contain upgraded troop data fragments 'frags'. You can earn crates several ways. You get a daily crate for opening the game every day. You will get Hero defense crates at least 2 times daily on each planet for winning a hero defense. Objective crates are on each planet and you must complete each task listed to get the objective crates.
You can also get the Victory crates for Squad War crates. These are the big crates for winning your squad war and will contain large bonus credits or alloy, 10 reputation and Elite data fragments. Our squad will constantly stay in Squad Wars to get these crates. Every planet will have daily objectives to complete using the 'Play' button.
It will usually list 3 objectives to complete in 24 hours. These objectives can be met by deploying certain troops/heroes in battle, training certain heroes/troops, donating/have donated troops or looting a certain amount of alloy, credits or contraband. There are certain times during special conflicts when each crate will be upper level. Most of the time, there will be three types of crate listed. They will be listed in order of greatest reward. The Gold or Bronzium crates are the ones you should concentrate on daily as they offer the best frags.
Note that you can jump to other planets and hit all of the objectives and hero defenses during that 24 hour period and maximize your crate winning chances. Defense perks are a new perk recently implemented. These are perks that will allow certain troops to defend from either your barracks or factory. You activate them in your armory before you log off and they will defend. You can tell if your opponent has these perks active by the glowing barracks/factory. It the factory/barracks are glowing and not easily taken out quickly, they will deploy troops every 20-30 seconds of battle. If not dealt with quickly, they can keep you from getting any stars in battle.
We suggest moving on to easier targets unless you can quickly eliminate these buildings. We also suggest keeping these buildings now behind walls and under a shield to make it harder for opponents to kill them. There are normally 2 daily hero defenses every 12 hours. Some special times will allow hero defenses every 4 hours. You can attempt a hero defense within 30 minutes of landing on a planet. Before doing a hero defense, you should make sure your armory has any defense perks loaded, make sure you have every hero you can make ready to deploy and a full Squad Center, hopefully loaded with bikes.
It is also a good idea to have your Starship command full of ships. If you have fangs, they are the best fighter to take out both hoards of troops and mechs. You will have only 30 minutes to initiate the defense.
Once started, enemy troops of your HQ level will attack in 2 waves. There will be a lot of troops. If you can win the hero defense and keep all your stars, you will get the better defense crates that have the best frags. You are able to deploy squad troops, heroes and starships to defend. There are two types of promotion. In battle, you win battles to move up levels. After so many victories, you will increase your level.
There is no real benefit to this promotion, except bragging rights and status. The second type is under the direction of your leader who will grant you the officer rights. This promotion upgrades you from member to officer. As an officer you can start squad wars and remove 'members' from the squad.
Our squad rewards those who stay activate, participate in chat and donate rep. Usually we nominate those we believe are ready to lead a squad war and lead the strategy for it. Promotion is not even considered until a member is at least Level 6.
The leader will then promote that player if deemed ready. Keep Your Crate-Won Troops. If you win a hero defense or any reward crate, you will get rewards such as troops. Save these troops in your HQ inventory until you need them for a Squad War. These troops are usually better than what you can produce and will give you a much needed advantage in a war. Also, if you are upgrading your Hero Command, you cannot make heroes. If you have heroes in your inventory, you can use them while you wait on your upgrade to finish.
Same goes for starship command. You can still use inventory of starhips if the command is updating.
Risk vs Reward. Every battle scenario you should use this theory. Is the battle going to award you enough resources to replace your troops sent to win the battle? How much does your troops and heros cost you to make in credits? That is how much you need to “win” to make the battle worth your effort. If your opponent does not have enough credits to take, you are best to move on to next opponent.
Always look for the easiest resource battle. You can also use a hoard of pathfinders to get available resource buildings. With so many deployed, they cannot all be targeted at once and can make quick work of resource buildings clustered.
Moving to a new planet? Be aware that when you jump to a new planet using your planetary command, you will have to win 10 stars to jump away from that planet. You can often jump planets to get more objectives and hero defenses complete for more crates and upgraded troops and perks. Best Offense Troops.
For the rebels, the best combo of troops is Heavy Troopers with the upgraded perks. Pair 3-4 heavys with a medic using the bonus trooper perk. They have great range and can plow through everything. Traps are the only thing that can really slow down the onslaught. Complement troops. While heavy/med combo is the most devastating for the rebels to use, make sure to obtain the vanguard soldier frags and use them before you deploy your main troops.
Vanguards will target traps and eliminate them before you deploy your heavys and heroes. After dropping a vanguard and heavys, then you can put hailfires behind your heavys. They target turrents and have splash damage. If heavys stay in front of the hailfires, your hails will be protected from fire and deal heavy damage. Know your troop strengths and weaknesses.
Rebels have better ground infantry troops. The Empire has better vehicles. Read what troops are effective against what troop type or building in the training section.
Sharpshooters (snipers) are great at targeting heroes and droideka, but can barely get through a wall. You must also know that if droideka is present at start of battle, sharpshooters, bikes, Leia and hero Johar will run to activate droideka and pass through other troops. This can be bad if they have to run across turrents to actually fire on the droideka. It is best to activate droideka with a simple soldier and let them come to you. Once they come to you, then you deploy these forces. ATRT and pathfinders will target resource buildings and will get hit hard by turrents.
Know what your troops target before you drop them. Line of sight and order of target.
Once you see how the enemy defense is laid out, figure out how your troops will attack it. They are not smart troops. They target what they are made for and do that job. If you see droideka behind shields and walls, it is best to wait until they are activated before deploying a troop that targets them. You can also deploy troops and they may split apart from original formation to go after other targets. Figure out how you can deploy troops that will stay together and stay within target areas effectively, plus stay near medic droids to heal as needed. Droideka use.
Droideka are special troops that can be created to not only defend, but used offensively as well. If you deploy a droideka in offense against a base and it does not die, you can use it again without repairing it.
If it dies in battle, you will need to use a building droid to repair it and this can take up to an hour or more. Your best use of droideka is as your cleanup guy. Once all danger of turrents are cleared, release droideka to target out buildings. Know that if droideka or troops remain in the enemy base when you deploy your droideka, it will target enemy droideka and troops first. This will get your droideka killed quickly if moving through a turrent field. Victory Crates.
Victory crates will reward you a very high amount of either credits or alloy. These are random amounts, but usually max out your reserve. It is best to use as much of your reserves of both BEFORE you open the victory crate. If you open it and get 500,000 credits and you only had room for 100,000 credits, you will get filled, but wasted the other 400,000 credits. Use it before opening or you risk losing it.
Don't Out build yourself. Race to get Level 6 for the Armory, but then take your time and make sure you have every building upgraded to your current HQ level BEFORE upgrading your HQ to the next level.
It is important that you catch up all your buildings, turrents, traps and walls or Hero Defense will be too hard to win, costing you crates opportunities. You must temper your enthusiasm once you are at Level 6 and make sure to build evenly.
Best professions for hunter legion. It hurts your chances to win rewards if you advance to quickly in war as well. Ark best settings for single player. You will be matched up against your current HQ level opponents or higher. If you do not have the firepower to match up against them, you hurt yourself and your team.
